Hi! I just received my passport with an entry visa to canada. Today is the first day of my vacation leave from my present work. I am currently working in Kuwait. I am planning to go to the Philippines on this vacation and when I comes back i will fly to Canada. I heard from a friend who also did the same thing that she was questioned by the immigration officer in Canada for doing those. Will I experienced the same thing and worst be denied entry to Canada? Thank you. I need your reply please.

Since you didnt process your application in Philippines (I guess??) they will require you to go through POEA and POLO and I have heard it takes ages to get them processed. Plus another thing is that, if your current work permit in Kuwait is due to expire then you might have a trouble coming back from Philippines to Kuwait since you have a Canada Visa already. I had a friend from Singapore, he got his canada visa approved and went back to Philippines for vacation but was not able to exit as the officer saw the canada visa on Passport. Unless otherwise your Kuwait work visa is not expiring too soon then you may be able to satisfy th eimmigration in Philippines that you need to go back to Kuwait and finish up your terms with your current employer.
On my case I chose to fly from Singapore straight to Canada as I was discouraged by POLO and POEA requirements.

Yung LMIA mangagaling yan sa employer mo. Kailangan mo copy ng LMIA or LMO at copy ng contract. Pakibasa na lang ng link para alam mo pano process.

Hi po sa inyo! Tanong ko lang po may vaalid working visa po ako dito sa SG til 2017 pa, tapos po expiration ng canada visa ko til september this year. Gusto po kasi ng eeployer ko start ako ng september kc nasa uS sila the whole summer. Balak ko po sana umuwi ng july mgbakasyon ng 2 weeks tapos balik ulit dito. Ok lang po ba yon?
