I'm an indian citizen who came as an international student to Canada on a student visa. The visa expired in Dec 2015. I applied for a work permit and assumed my visa will be extended accordingly. However, my work permit got extended but they never asked for my passport to renew my visa. I need to travel to India now and cannot reenter without a valid visitor visa. When I try to apply online through CIC (within Canada), it gives me an option to extend or restore my temporary status (Form 5708E and Form 5257B), however there is no mention of visa renewal. Am I filling the right forms to apply for a multiple-entry visitor visa?
