Work permit timelines- Canada embassy New Delhi Visa Office - 2014

Hello everyone. I am going to apply for low skilled temporary work permit from India. Can you please tell me if I need to show any funds ? if yes, how much do you think I need to show ? I have 5 lacs in Fixed desposit and around 1 lakh in my saving account. I do not have any property to show.

Intocanada, no updates till now!! I had hoped for medical test within the first month but even that has not happened. The wait seems to be getting longer and longer...

I sincerely wish that your feelings turn out to be true!! What is worse is that no application seems to be moving except some SOWP from India.

I see CIC is contacting applicants in 40 to 45 days after applying work permit atleast OWP.
Frankly, I don't see anyone who applied for Tfw(closed work permit) from India in this forum except you. Hopefully, your time line can give me an idea on processing time.

I do remember you man. I remember you applied in chandigarh visa office. That is the reason I did not recall you. But if you can share your time lines here in this thread, it will be great.
Don't believe vfs officer timelines. If you believe them, you are sure to get disappointed. You need to wait atleast for 40 days. I am guessing Sept 2nd or 3rd week in your case.
Have patience, it might be a positive result.

thnks mate , i read some comments here and realised that wont get anything early :) 40-45 days usually as u said , wait is not bad if someone get positive result after !i heard people saying food counter attendant LMO wont get visa from india ! Do u hv any idea about that ! I have part-time experience in same field while i wz studying in Australia ! After reading few negative blogs i m worried now !
 
Looks like my application is shifted to bangalore. the status says "being processed at the Canada Visa Office, BANGALORE". Till recently it was Delhi.
That is a surprise to me. Any body out there whose file is moved?

This is strange. After reading this post I immediately checked my application status and mine is still with Delhi office. Did you work in Bangalore recently? (Though this does not make any sense but just trying to figure out the BLR link)

I haven't heard anything on my application till now!! It has been about 50 days and the wait is getting more and more frustrating. With college admissions complete, I was expecting some progress on my application but I guess I was wrong. What is strange is that number of WP applications have gone down drastically due to new rules even then the processing times have not changed.

No. I don't have any connection with Bangalore, except I once went there for an official visit. However, I just called VFS CC and they mentioned this is because of a system error and the status will be updated back saying "getting processed in ND office"
Hmm. 50 days is long. But I see no reason why you should not get an update soon.

APNE was the candidate whose visa is getting processed from CHD. I remember, he saying, he has given medical's long back and did not hear thereafter.
It is 3+ months for sure.

Did anyone hear on their application?

Hi mate , yes i read his timeline ! oN 23 june officer ask for additonal doc. Thts means 40-45 days for first hearing ! Anywys i m oke with wait now getting use too :)
 
Got an approval mail.

Time lines
LMO applied - April 9
LMO approved - June 24
Work permit applied - Aug 13th (Had to delay to submit due to a document problem) - With upfront medical
Work permit approved - Sept 12th
Travel - After serving notice period ;D ;D ;D

Submitted application for spouse(main applicant), me(OWP) and our kid(TRV, less than 2yrs old)
We both got approval mail. Did not get any document regarding my kid. Is this normal?
