Work permit Taking too much time

Hi everyone, I was hired by a company in Québec, an inmigration company is helping me with all the process.
My applications (Caq & Lmia) were submitted on February 24th, I'm Mexican so I'm aware it is supposed to be "easier" because of that, I'm also an engineer.
Does anybody know why it is taking so long?

Not sure if the nationality has anything to do with

The LMIA has to be positive and then proceed

Wait till posted processing time is over and raise a webform if no decision yet

Eligibility has started for spouse but hasn’t started for the main applicant. Is this a mistake please? Both background checks are in process thoUgh

Unless you qualified to work under a trade agreement you will have normal processing period and being from Mexico doesn’t make a difference. Around 6 months processing is fairly common but because there is an extra step in Quebec it can take longer.

But all applicants status updated on tracker 19th may. Could it be that the main applicant has also begun eligibility check? But it’s not showing on tracker and gckey yet. No update since thenN

But then, every case is different. So, hopefully your application gets updated soon.

Yup…also depends on where you are applying from and NOC. Have you talked to your employer and have they made any contact with IRCC?
