Work permit taking far too long

Hi, i submitted my work permit aplication through an agent since August 2018, he gave me the tracking number and a scan copy of this small slip 'visa fee acknowledgement and receipt'. Application was submitted through vfsglobal, but when i tracked it, it says no result found.
Now i can't get through to the agent and it's been over a year now. My passport is with them and i don't even know if the permit is granted or not.
I just want it all to end, please help me out someone.

It sounds like you've been scammed and there's no job.

You should file a police report against this agent and say he stole your passport. That will then enable you to get a new passport.

Well, i could find one one the biometric instruction letter with me. The UCI number is in this format: 00-0000-0000 and the application number in this format: V000000000.
If this is it, then what do i do with them.

Call VFS and find out the out come of your application
