Hi my work permit expired last oct 11 and forgot to apply implied status my employer told me I need to stop working while waiting my lmia , can I apply restoration before the 90 days end? What if my restoration refused whole I’m still waiting for lmia what will happen? Thank u

Hello,

Apply for restoration as soon as possible, this time you will apply to change condition from Worker to Visitor, explaining that you are waiting for an LMIA approval.
The processing times for a restoration takes in average 60 to 70 days.
When did the employer submit the LMIA application? is your position skilled NOC 0/A/B?
Once you have applied you will have an implied status but you can not work.

Thanks for that, yes I did apply my implied status and now I just recently applied restoration, my employer contact the cic and said that application still on someone’s desk no available officer for those LMIA
