Hi everyone,

Im new to this forum but reading several posts here i find that its a very useful source for information and advices. I just had a question about my work permit application..

A brief history. Im currently living in Singapore. On November 2014 i applied for a Self Employed PR for Vancouver. I love to live in Canada when i was studying there in 2009. But recently my company offered me a job in Vancouver but i am worried about my PR application. Will the PR application clash with my Work permit? If i cancel the PR application (Since its only in very early stages) will my Work permit still be in Jeopardy? Please advice.

Thanks
V

No - your PR application won't clash with your work permit.

Ah i see. Thanks!. I ask because i was told by someone that in order to get a work permit you have to convince the visa office that you will leave the country once you are done working. Is this true? If so wont the PR application suggest that i dont want to leave the country ?

Dual intent, entering as a worker with the intention of becoming a PR is never an issue. If it were, they would not allow pathways for TFWs to become PRs.
