Work Permit Processing timelines 2024

Hi All,

Please share some insight if you have experience.
I am trying to gather some idea on the timelines for the Work Permit Processing.

Work Permit application (LMIA Exempt - ICT): Applied on 14 March 2024
Biometrics: 21 March 2024
Country of application: India

Would really appreciate if I can get some guidance. How long will it take?

Biometrics & Medicals done.
Eligibility no yet started
Background check in progress

Did you apply for a closed or open work permit under the ICT? From my experience, those are usually closed work permits and from what I filtered out on this tracker, the processing times haven’t really been moving quickly https://myimmitracker.com/en/ca/trackers/consolidated-work-permits-tracker

Application for an LMIA based work permit;
December 6th 2023

Biometrics;
Already done in 2021

Employee Insurance cover request;
March 5th 2024

Employee Insurance cover approved;
April 16th 2024

Nothing after that. Still waiting.
