Need Help & Advice

Applied work permit with LMO on 7 July 11.

On calling CIC got message that response will come by Sep 11.

Called again they said your file is being delayed and transferred to other office and the response will be in 16 Weeks.

After 16 weeks the agent says they received the file on 5 Dec and the response will be by 15 Feb 2012.

Please help and advice what should i do.

Thanks

And your friend is in Canada waiting all this time for the WP! for 8 months! Have not heard of 8 months processing in Vegreville except for the OWPs under LCP. Am not aware if there is a case specific inquiry at CPC-V. Can't find any case specific inquiry contact information. Maybe because in Canada applicants have access to the CIC call center

Yes he is waiting all this time in Canada and and the CIC call center agent don't have a valid answer to his waiting time.

8 months! the labour profile could have changed during that time. Request the employer to help. What job type is he applying for?

The employer through which he applied, is already out of business since Feb 2012. And he even hired a lawyer and he gave him the information that his case file has been transferred to Toronto.

what is the best thing he should do?

thanks

Hi,

Where did you submit your applications? If you're applying under LCP usually it takes 15 months to get an approval but it depends on which embassy you submitted your applications :)

thnx for responding i have applied for Canadian work permit....
Hi,

I know you're applying for a work permit but what kind of job is it and where did you send your applications? I guess your agent is the one who applied for your work permit. You can check your agent about the status of your applications.

Good luck :)

I don't know if this is available for all embassies, but ND applicants can check http://www.vfs-canada.co.in/visatracking.html See if you can find something similar.
