work permit processing in chandigarh

Hi freefaller and Sidhu thanks to be in the forum and keep updating everyone and Sidhu i heard they are still on the dispute. Hope strike result should come out by sometime in cming weeks not in months.

Rest everyone pls keep sharing no your timelines.

Rajan have u heard anything for u or somone near to that date.

"finally medical received"

spouse OWP application submitted at VFS chandigarh on 23/04/13.
received text on 25/04/13.

email received for Medical from CIC on 30/08/13

status on VFS website :-

"Passport has been dispatched through Courier via Airway Bill #:. You can track your passport Status by visiting the website: www.bluedart.com.
Note: The airway bill no. will be updated on the website by the next working day from the dispatch date of your passport.Incase of Hold Passport Request: Your Passport has been held on Request at Delhi OC."

does anyone know what the above status means ? coz passport is already at the embassy and if it is why would they dispatch it before they receive medical ... can some one please explain.

Hi Nitt & SOWP Team,

As of now i haven't heard anything from them ..

there are people who applied in april they are getting medical request ..

It's a good sign Visa officer are working on work permit application.

if strike will be over may be we will definitely heard something positive.

may be in mid or end of September..

As i checked one of friend working with CIC in delhi she said for OWP there are very few applications there is not so back log.. but the thing is that VO is not working properly due to strike.

VO are all in all.

Pray to GOD!!!!!

At god's home there is some delay but not darkness.

One day smile will come with million of happiness !!!!!!

Pray to god and do good karma .

I have also applied for work permit(LMO and TWP) on 2nd August at vfs Delhi and I heard that junior visa officers are working in cic New Delhi . Rajan can you please tell me what is the backlog for TWP with LMO

I don't know the exactly back log which they have???

But on category of Spouse open work permit there are very few applications are lying ....

Congrats those who got visas. I applied on 21june i hope my turns comes nxt time. Its really frustrating now
