Work permit processing at IRCC Sydney, Australia

Greetings,

I’ve applied for a work permit since September,2022 and its still under process. Idk what’s taking them so long but when I applied, processing time was less than 20 weeks as per IRCC website. Does anybody had this sort of situation before in Sydney office? I’m quite concerned how much more time they’ll consume. Its been almost seven months now.

Same here i applied from UAE in August up to now there is no response, its very frustrating, now i hear the workers have gone on strike

It seems work permit applications are not being prioritised in all visa offices unless its for essential skills or teer 1. I also applied in September 2022 in Nairobi and till now there is no progress at all despite the processing time being 8 weeks
