I applied from India
So processing is 20 weeks so well within normal processing times when many are processed by. No sense in sending webforms because there is no delay, and IRCC doesn’t have to respond. So if you haven’t received response by June then follow up.

IRCC doesn’t expedite cases as everyone wants expedited service. It is not IRCC’s problem that you want to start in May.

I get that. The processing time is usually several weeks, and as of now it is showing 20 weeks in the official IRCC website. However, I also saw in the IRCC website that for LMIA exempt jobs, I may be eligible for a 2 weeks processing time, since it is a postdoc job and my employer has submitted the relevant documents and have paid the compliance fee.

Based on experiences in this forum, extremely few applications that qualify for the 2 week processing are actually processed within the 2 weeks. You should expect that it will take several months and be closed to the 20 week processing time. But also some chance you may get lucky and be approved faster. It's impossible to say.

Two weeks may be possible through GTS stream if employer filed through it, and your NOC is eligible. Employer would have described your importance of being in Canada to grow its business.
