Work permit issues

Hi,

My work permit expired on 31st Aug 2015 as it was my date of expiry of my passport. However I did apply for extension till April 2016
(PG 3 year work permit ends) but because my consultant paid wrong amount for the fee they returned my application asking me to reapply with
the additional fee and mentioned that my status is valid until August 1st 2015. My question is

1. Can I still continue working?
2. If not under my express entry profile should I update my current employment to August 1st 2015

Your question is a bit confusing. Did you mean to say that your work permit expired on July 31, 2015?

My PG work permit was supposed to be issues until May 2016 but it was issued until July 31 as my passport was expiring. So I had to reapply for it after renewing my PP but while reapplying my consultant paid a wrong amount because of which my application was returned. Asking me to reapply with the additional fee and mentioned that my status is valid until August 1st 2015.

My question is
1. Can I still continue working?
2. If not under my express entry profile should I update my current employment to August 1st 2015
