Hi, i have offer of work visa of one year.but i want to know that i can stay and work after one year legally or i have to go my home country. And after one year canadian govt. will help me to get a job and stay there legally as per my agent they told me.

However, once your work visa expires, if you do not have a new pending work visa application in process you are legally required to leave the country (or change your status to that of "visitor"). After two years of working in Canada you may be eligible to apply for permanent residency in the Canadian Experience Class (CEC) depending upon your job skills.

Thanks to clearify me. It mean i have to search and make new work permit with different employer before expiry of first visa.( what time or period before i have to do this and how much money i have to pay for new visa or work permit. and what will happen if i will not get new employer at the same time so where i can apply for second visa procedure after expiry of first one.) advise me any safe way to stay continue. and what is visitor ?

The fee for renewal is the same ($150) as the original work permit. The fee for a visitor visa is $75. The form you fill out to extend your work visa or to change to a visitor visa is the same.
