Its not. What is illegal is they are keeping your passport. Its yours, not for them to keep. You can even complain to the proper authority if they will not give it to you

Hello guys. Just want to ask and your response will be much appreciated. I applied for WP under NOC 2154. I am currently working here in Dubai and my employers keeps my passport. If in case receive my PPR letter and I only have 30 days to submit it to VO Abu Dhabi. If I resign once i receive the PPR letter, it will be 30 days to serve the notice period in my Company. My question would be, If I request for my passport and let it be stamped first then I will resign, would that be illegal just in case my employer sees the Canada Visa Stamp? Any ideas or suggestions?

I applied for work permit from Abu Dhabi since 3rd October 2018 and i did interview with Canadian embassy on January 22nd,2019 ,and till date no response ,even i sent 2 inquiries and always same answe (your application is in queue to be reviewed by our office agent).now processing time in ircc is 32 weeks and i passed this date.
Anyone has the same case

I applied for work permit from Dubai under AIPP program on November 25, in Dubai VAC office. I kind of got scared after reading the threads in previous pages.

My question to the experts is that since endorsement is valid for six months only, then how come IRCC can take 39 weeks showing on their website the processing time for Dubai.

hi. Can you share any updates. Im from dubai also and will apply my temporary working permit soon. Im thinking also about the processing time here is 40weeks. So im planning to apply in philippines.

It is same for AIPP and other WP in Dubai, Very long time to process WP
