Work permit for Outland applicant living in Canada

I did Outland application for my wife. Just received my SA. Is there any option to apply for her work permit? She is a British citizen staying with me as a visitor.

As far as I know only Inland applicants can apply for an open work permit. Just wanted to clarify if the work permit is available for Outlands as well.

One other question is I got my SA yesterday. Her application is now sent to London office. Any idea how long it might take to complete the process in London office? I heard it sometimes gets processed in 6 months?

Join the London thread, there is a very well maintained spreadsheet that will give you a good idea on time lines.
