Hi to all,
I am Italian and I am here under IEC program (Working Holiday). I had a permanent job offer from an employer, while my work permit is expiring by the end of August.

I have explained to my employer that for having my new work permit (as my original one is not renewable) I need an LMIA, but it seems that they don't want to proceed this way and asked me to check if any other way to get the new WP. Unfortunately everything I got is always reporting to the LMIA process. Does anyone know any other way to get the work permit extended or the new one while holding a permanent job offer?

thanks for your time, hope you can help me

Ale

Do you qualify for another IEC?

Otherwise you really do need the LMIA.

Hi,
unfortunately not. Italian program allows only one participation and no renewal.... any other possibilities?

Based on the information you have provided - no. You need an LMIA - a permanent job offer isn't enough. If your current employer isn't able/willing to go through the process then you should try to find an employer who is if you want to remain in Canada and work.
