Work Permit Extension with 204c Letter and Employer Portal

Hello,

I applied for PR in May and have been waiting for a file number/AOR from CIC. Sadly, my work permit will expire in 10 days. I don’t think I am eligible to apply for a BOWP until I have AOR. PNP office advised me that I can renew the work permit using letter 204 provided by the PNP office and my employer needs to pay $230 in addition to the work permit fee of $155. I don’t mind paying any fees if I can have legal status in Canada.

What I am now wondering is that whether CIC will issues an open work permit or closed work permit. My current PGWP is open so I was kind of hoping they will issue an open work permit based on my current one. But one of my friend told me the new one will be tied to my current employer only. Is this information correct?

And does anyone have experience with Employer Portal? How long does it take to get an Offer approved by CIC? I understand that they need to approve the Offer we uploaded before providing us with a confirmation number or something.

It will be an employer tied work permit. I confirmed it with Ainp this morning.

hello i have a question actually i got my ainp and applied for pr nd got the file no. i applied for the extension of the work permit got rejection because i paid 155 $ and forgot to pay 100@ additional fee and then again applied by paying all fee and got rejection and the reason was i had no status because my implied status gone. now i applied again under foreign worker mobility program with the support of employer by paying 230$ fee. is there anyone who have any knowledge about this case. plzzzzz help

hey did you only pay 155$ + 230$ employer fee or also your employer made the employment offer as well on the employer portal?
