Personally I think you need to send them your WP, BOWP refuse letter and an explanation letter.

However I never experience this to know exactly what to do. I think you should have a lawyer for a peace of mind.

I have taken the advice of the lawyer and I am even ready to hire. But the lawyer said the only way to contact for renewal is to email to get a renewed work support letter. I did email and they said to provide some documents along with a work permit. The issue is my work permit expired now. So, I am scared what if they deny renewal because of an expired work permit? I was hoping someone to advise me or share if they had come across such an issue on this forum.

It looks like your only option now is sending those required docs. then do it as soon as you can. write an explanation letter.

I think if IRCC allows people to restore their status, then it should be way to do it and that's not the end. please be positive.
