Work Permit Extension Timeline(Inside Canada) - 2024

Has anyone noticed a difference on paper vs online application timelines? extensions vs initial? I see wildly different timelines from 2 - 8 months on here. Mine was online, submitted June 24th, already gave biometrics in 2022 so they linked immediately. When i applied avg processing was 99 days, now its 154 and ive been waiting 129.


Waiting is horrible. The avg processing doesnt help with understanding how much longer we will be waiting as this thread demonstates, it could be any length of time :(

2024-04-22. Paper PGWP application received by IRCC.
2024-09-16. Received an application number to access the system.
2024-10-28 Biometrics validity letter
2024-11-01 PGWP approval

I have a question about shipment. How long does it take to receive the document after final approval? I have some documents to receive (including mine and my family's).
 
I have recently gotten the final approval of WP and I am waiting for the original document. How long dose it take to receive mail after the final decision?
 
Happy for you guys getting it. I had applied on 26th Aug, Biometrics are already in the system. I hear *cricket cricket* when I log in.
 
Hi everyone, my WP extension was approved along with my spouse's open work permit and child's visitor record.

Application Type - LMIA-Based Closed Work Permit [NOC - 11110] [I was on SOWP dependent on my spouse's LMIA-based closed work permit before. My employer agreed to sponsor my LMIA and we switched]

LMIA Application - 27 Jan
LMIA Fees Paid - 06 Feb
WP-Ext Application - 03 May
WP-Ext Letter (6 months) - 04 May
Original WP Expired - 15 May
LMIA Approval and Submission - 17 Aug
WP-Ext Approval - 01 Nov

Approved 3 days before 6 months extension.
