It will be ultimately up to IRCC. Since you didn't qualify for the extension, there's a big possibility they will not allow you to count the work experience gained after your PGWP expired.
But what about the dates they have mentioned in the refusal letter and information given on the CIC website, they all states that I was on status till 29th June, and If I was on status till 29th June then work I did should be considered as authorized work
It will be up to the IRCC officer who assesses your PR application. In recent years, we've seen that IRCC has become pretty fed up with people who request extensions when they know they don't qualify for them simply to remain in Canada longer or try to get more work experience. Entirely up to the IRCC offier.

Pls I need advice and suggestions regarding my PG work permit extension that was refused. My permit will expire on Thursday and I had applied to extend it in September but it got refused yesterday.
The letter states that I need to have LMIA from my prospective employer which confuses me because I thought a PGWP is LMIA exempt (I did choose an option that states I have an employer while filling out the online form though. Is that my mistake?!). It says I have to leave Canada and it didn’t give an option of applying for restoration.
Do clear me please; can I quickly submit another application and uncheck the employer-specific option? If so, will I be on implied status after this Thursday?
Do I need to apply for restoration anyway after this Thursday when my pgwp expires?
**I have an express entry profile and I’m positive of getting ITA once I add my evaluation which is underway.

Have you been able to restore your status inland? Maybe you qualify for the new PGWP policy extension. ALl the best!
Yes, I was able to do so. The new policy helps, moreover I got ITA and applied for bridging WP. Thanks Jay
Thanks, man, my PGWP expired on 19th Nov 2020, and applied by mistake for an extension, I thought that working for the filming industry is exempt from LMIA ...but I was wrong. Now my wife and I are very concerts about the refusal or rejection application. We just get more scores in our CELPIP-G test and now we have 462 CRS and hoping to get an ITA next draw.
I hope everything will work well for us because we had a lot of struggles this year because of the covid problems ... I hope the new policy will help us , we kind of deserve this 18 months PGWP extension.

The extension is a relief and it came at the right time. Sorry to hear about your struggles but I’m sure things will work out just well for you two to compensate. Hi everyone need an advice my work permit extension was refused I had attached all documents what were required like nomination certificate and letter of support and office indicated these two things are missing and he refused . Any suggestions how to contact them to check properly. As now on 90 days of restoration period and am hoping for AOR soon ..
