Work Permit - Extension / Re-Entry.. Urgent!! Please help!!!

Hello All,

My Work permit Expires Nov 15 2015 but Visa will expire only on March 2016. In my case work permit and W1 Visa expiry dates vary.

However my company will apply for work permit extension within next week.

I want to leave Canada in September and enter back by Nov 13th before my work permit expires.

Can I leave Canada and re-enter before expiry, is it legal and ok?

I can explain Visa officer that I have applied for work permit extension during entry, will there be any problems?

Maybe my work permit extension wud be approved by the time and if not approved its in process, will I face any problem at port of Entry?

Please advise and suggest...

Maybe bring a printout of the work permit extension with you just in case

There should not be any problem as long as your work permit is not expired. You can also apply to extend your work permit at the port of Entry on November 13th. So, keep all documents with you.

Don't know what type of work permit you will be applying but if you will apply before it expires then make sure you print a copy of your application along with confirmation and take it with you when you leave Canada.
