Work permit extension and Dependant Visa

My husband has valid Visa till june 2011 and work permit till Jan 31st 2011. Hence myself and my kid were granted V1 dependant Visa till only Jan 31st 2011. I am not working nor have any WP.Can I stay in Canada beyond Jan 31st when I have no Valid visa and my husband's new WP has been applied or in progress. Please help...

I don't think you can stay beyond Jan 31st. You must apply for an extension for your TRV. You should have attach yourself and your kid in your husband's work permit application.

According to my knowledge, your husband needs to apply for the extension of work permit and at the same application you and your kid can be included requesting Temperary Residence Visa.

Hope you and your kid are having visitor record as of date of expiry of your husband work permit till 31st Jan. Is your husband's application of work permit extension has your visitor record extension application included? If yes then you should be okey until response from CPC on your application.....
