Work Permit expiry

My work permit is expiring in Nov-26. However, my visitor visa is valid till 2030. Work permit says - Must leave by Nov-26. Am I allowed to stay in Canada for few more months if I stop working or I MUST quit Canada in Nov-26?

You can apply to extend your stay as a visitor before your work permit expires. You can stay until a decision is made with the extension application. You need to stop working once your work permit has expired.

I am stuck in a problem now and would really appreciate if anyone can help on this .

I'm in maintained status now, and just applied for PR under CEC 2 days ago. Now I have to apply for BOWP However, when Im answering the questions in the questionnaire, there is a problem:

There is a question that when my currentWP expires, My WP has expired and I am on on maintained status because l submitted my WP extension before the expiration, & received submission letter but it doesn’t have an expiry date on it.I tried putting my actual WP expiry date , it doesn’t allow me to apply for BOWP because in that case it is putting me in restoration status . I was wondering what can I put in expiration date as my current WP extension submission letter doesn’t have any expiry date. Can I put an expiration date next week for example and explain everything in letter, just to allow me applying for BOWP which is mandatory for me.
