Work Permit expiring in January 2024

Hello everyone,

My work permit is about to expire in January 2024 and my CEC file is in the pool. My CRS score is 482 which is not enough to get an invite at this point in time.
Currently I'm working with a consultancy on open work permit. Can anyone please suggest me if there a way to renew my work permit and the process for that.

If your employer is willing to get an approved LMIA, then you can switch to a closed work permit.

They are unable to provide the LMIA, is there any other way apart from that?

Can you increase your EE score? Have you maxed out IELTS?

If you can get ITA and submit your complete CEC application before your current work permit expires, then you can apply for a BOWP. Have you looked into the PNP programs for your province?

Yes, I can get PNP from BC but I don't have enough work permit to get the job and gain 6 months of experience

Focus as hard as you can on IELTS to get your score higher and increase your chances of being selected sooner. That sounds like your most realistic opinion right now.
