Work permit expiring and need to apply for visitor visa ???Help plz

Sorry didn't get this. Do you already have your PR approved and visa stamped on your passport?

No I have applied for CEC and done with medical request.I am talking about when I get an email to send my passport to Buffalo for stamping for PR...,I receive the passport back from Buffalo....I am planning to take the stamped passport and visit India for a month...

But after I pay the right of landing fees and receive passports stamped from Buffalo...can I leave Canada and come back when on visitor visa..that will also complete the crossing border requirement ???
