work permit Expired

My work permit expired in April 2016 and applied for extension at the same time I also applied for visitor extension. I just received a letter saying I have been denied my work permit since I don't meet requirements. So I wanna know what if I continue to work till I get ITA. Will it be harmful in anyway ?

You need to stop working immediately. Any work you do going forward will be illegal which makes you removable from Canada.

Hi all i needed some help and information ok so i came in canada on a 6 month wpermit and after that change to a food service wpermit for 2 years and my wife came to canada as dependant under me and she got open wpermit and after 4 month i got dismissed but our wpermit still valid and we got an employer who was ready to sponsor her pnp and do new wp for me so for 1 year and a half we couldn't get anything from him and our wpermit has already expired but 2 weeks before it expired they applied for extension for me and my wife by post to vegreville so my question is

1 will we get a positive reply from then as im changing wp 3rd time
2 if we find another job and the employer willing to sponsor us can we go leaving the job that apply extension for us

I don't understand on what basis you have applied for an extension. Did you or your wife include an approved LMIA with your extension application?

Hi, yes we did include the lmia copy that include the number but the lmia has still not been approved. The employer is still waiting for the phone call. We have pay the fees of 410dollars together with the application.

So you did not in fact have an approved LMIA when you applied. That puts you at quite a risk for refusal. You'll just have to hope it's approved in time. If it isn't, you'll be out of status in Canada.

It depends. If CIC refuses your application, you will have 90 days from the time you receive the refusal. However where there is no approved LMIA, CIC is now often returning the application as incomplete. If that happens, you will be out of status in Canada as of the day your work permit expired.
