work permit document not received after approval email from CIC

I applied for work permit extension and 7 days back I received below email stating my application has been approved.
However after 7 days passed, I have still not received my documents at my address. Anybody know how long it generally takes to get documents from CIC after application approval is received. Please help \ share your experience. Thanks
"Your application to remain in Canada as a temporary resident has been approved. A secure document has
been mailed to you at the address that you provided when you made your application. If you have not received
your secure document within six weeks"

I had to do this twice with a visitor permit. Both times it took a few weeks between MyCIC saying it was approved, and receiving the physical permit in the mail. Seven days would be pretty amazing if it arrived that quickly... no need to stress yet.

The email you got does clearly state that you should receive it within 6 weeks and if you do not you should then call them to claim it wasn't received. Make sure that if you moved you changed your address because they will not forward CIC mail. With Canada post you can expect it to take 2 weeks or maybe more. They aren't known for their timely and/or quick delivery services.
