My friend went to borders for the work permit and the officer found out that he was working illegally.
So the officers told him to leave the country in 2 days and to apply online for work permit.
I would like to ask if its better for him to go back to Greece and come back after 1 month and apply in the port
of entry (airport)

No - it would be better for him to apply from Greece. If the officer recorded his illegal work in the system - then he could be facing a six month ban from obtaining a new work permit. Better to find out from Greece than to travel all the way to Canada - only to be denied entry.

I think that its better in airport than the online procedure because in online application they have almost 2 months for the decision so they have plenty of time to search everything

Hi Scylla

I have serious doubt in my mind right now...my 90 day restoration ended on jan 31st and before that i applied for my visitors visa.My employer applied for my LMIA in september 2014 and still awaiting result.

so my first question is if i get my LMIA before my visitors visa is approved what will be the procedure to get the work permit.

second question is if i have some other employer ready to give me an LMIA what will be the procedure for that.

Thanks and regards
Manu
