I'm a Filipino working here in Thailand. My employer send me my contract and my positive LMO.I signed it already and send back to my employer...But my problem is when i went to Canada Embassy and ask what the other documents to submit.the Thai Personnel said that they prioritize Thai people than the Filipino and it could be process for long time.I was so disappointed because I have already my employer and I cannot go.My employer need me as soon as possible.I don't want to go back to the Philippines because it takes too long and the immigration there is so severe and tough,it's getting more hard for me.Can I apply my work permit or temporary work permit at the border port-of-entry?I have all my supporting documents with me and with my employer. Please help me what would be the best thing that I can do....
Thank you very much...

Unfortunatley you cannot apply for a work permit at the border. This option is only available to those who are visa exempt. See:

http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/work/apply-who-eligible.asp#enter

thank you for your good comment...but it says here that..
Eligibility to apply as you enter Canada:you hold a labour market opinion from HRSDC.Note: if your job does need a labour market opinion, you can apply as you enter Canada as long as the positive opinion has been issued to you before you enter (except for live-in caregivers and seasonal agricultural workers). And I'm not a caregiver or an agricultural worker..I have also my contract with me.

Nope, Filipinos are not visa exempt to enter Canada. Just send your apps to CHC-Thailand then wait for you visa approval. Unfortunately there's no other way kabayan. Good luck:)

Read that section again. In addition to having an LMO you ALSO have to be visa exempt in order to apply at the border. See bold:

You can apply for a work permit as you enter Canada, but only if you meet the following requirements:

-you are temporary resident visa exempt AND
-your job does not need a labour market opinion from HRSDC (some exceptions apply) or
-you hold a labour market opinion from HRSDC.

Sorry to interrupt but could you please help me with my situation.

I am currently waiting for the LMO approval for a new employer because my previous employer lied and said that they were dealing with the LMO application and when I applied to have my work visa and the visas of my family extended they had in fact not even begun the process, hence our visas were refused as of the 7 May. Like I say I am sat waiting for a new LMO and wondered if when it arrives we can go to the border and apply for our new visas with my new employer. Obviously we have 90 days from the date of refusal to apply for restoration and knowing that the processing times for visas is now increasing too I wondered if this was a possible option. We are from the UK if this makes any difference.
