Finally after 3.5 months of worry my Work Permit was approved today! which was apart of my Inland Spousal Application. (No update on that yet :( )

Question: Do CIC ship out the hard copy of the work permit or do I have to collect this at a Services Canada Branch. The update didn't give me much information. Infact they didn't even update me, no email, just happened to log in and check today.

Cheers

They will send it to you in the mail. Typically it's received about a week after you get the notification of approval.

Great thanks, and I'm assuming I'll have to renew my Sin number.

Side question, I received a new ETA, does this now mean I can leave Canada and return multiple times? Or is this still risky?

I hope you are still checking this forum or that someone else knows the answer.

What happened next? Have you received a copy of the work permit?

My wife's work permit was approved after her family sponsorship application was approved, but I'm just curious as to what would happen next. I checked the GCKey portal and found that they have issued two documents: a work permit and an eTA.
  1. Should I expect to have these two documents in the mail soon
  2. What does eTA mean in her case if she already had a valid TRV? I understand the TRV will be canceled and void after she becomes a permanent resident in a few days/weeks.
Thanks.
