Yesterday my consultancy shared the online work permit approval status & it looks like it is approved, but the application number is same for
me and my colleague. Could someone advise how could the application number can be same for me and my colleague ?

Note: Only application number is same but name's are different.

What number do you mean? WP number? UCI number? MyCIC application number? In general its highly unlikely that two different wp applications share same id numbers, maybe your consultant is messing up something.

Just spoke with my consultant they told it is CIC application number and they use this number to check status for all the applicant they applied through CIC and they also confirmed UCI number's are different for me and my colleague...

Is that correct or anything else need to be checked? Please confirm.

application number starts with alphabet W and followed by nine numbers.

The number you are talking about and explained could be your representatives ID, because that would be same for all his clients and that seems likely the way they explained it to you.

Any idea when can I expect my permit number for Visa Stamping ?. When I checked with my Consultant they told once they receive my permit number they will apply for my Visa through VFS. Please advise
