Hi All,
I am an Australian citizen on a tourist visa, living in Northern Canada with my Canadian husband. My young professionals work permit has just been approved, but the letter they sent me states that I need to present myself to a Canadian border for my permit to be issued. As I am up north, it is a bit of a pain to get to a border. Does anyone know of any way I can get around this without having to leave Canada and re-enter?

Much, much appreciated!

No way to get around it. If you want to activate your work permit and start working, then you either need to make your way to a US/Canada land boarder, exit and the re-enter. Or leave Canada and return on an international flight.
