I have been following this forum for a month and today on receiving my approval I have created an account just to post my status so that it helps you all the way it has helped me in the last one month of gruelling wait

Application Type : ICT - Online
Date: 21st Oct,2013
Request for Medical(since I had spent more than 6 months in India) : 21st Jan,2014
Medical results submitted: 24th Jan,2014
Approval email: 10th Feb,2014

So it took less than 4 months in our case

Congrats Tinkleen.
1 quick question did you apply at NYC. Are you in US?
Anyone sent a case specific enquiry to CIC ? please post your reply.

I got passport request today for my application.
Applied - Online-ICT-Without LMO
Date - 31st Oct 2013
Passport req Date - 10th Feb
But waiting for dependent passport request to send altogether. all the very best to all!!!

Thanks for letting us know Forums.173. This is perfect. Looks like they can finish November within Feb which is great! :)

TINKLEEN - would you mind letting us know what work did you apply for? Requesting for medical sounds weird for temporary work. Does your field require medical examination? like physician or something?

TINKLEEN - I wonder why they requested your medical. Whats the work you applied for? you are the first i saw who was requested for medical examination for temporary work.

I was in India for more than 6 months in the last one year. Hence I was asked. So if you were not in one of the countries which require medical for MORE THAN 6 MONTHS in the last 1 year, you need not worry

Congrats Forums.173..hope your dependents also rec. approval soon.
Thanks for the update..

So I am screwed. I came from Philippines and lived there for 10 years before coming here. I had medical exam done there but they wont consider it. This is gona delay more. Damn it. My friend did not have to take it last year. This is crazy. I do not have any medical problem but its gona delay further.

What kind of police clearance did you submit? Was it from FBI or local police? Thanks.

Jas, don't worry. It wont take long to give your medicals and i don't think you need a police clearance for temporary permit.

You can get ur medicals done in USA, as long as they are physicians in the CIC panel

Even i had my medicals done before i came from INDIA.
