Work Permit Applications at NYC for 2013

Hi All,

Got my passport back yesterday! Here's my timeline
Application Type - Intracompany Transfer, Applied via post at the NY Embassy
Application Date: 23rd June 2013
Approval Email Received: Oct 25th
Passport Received: Oct 29th
Total time taken about 4 months and a week..

Its been a really stressful wait but all good now.
Wishing everyone else a speedy processing..

I got a status email couple of days ago stating my appplication is in que for EVALUATION. Does it mean, i can expect my approval very soon?
Did you get such a status update?

For online applications the Queue should be around 29th of July 2013. Has any one put up a query lately?

The reply i recieved for my query yesterday.

Status as of Oct 30th

All applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received. An exact schedule of completion is not available at this time as our processing time is a minimum of (30) thirty days. Our office is currently finalizing applications received on July 25, 2013

For online applications the Queue should be around 29th of July 2013. Has any one put up a query lately?

looks like it has slowed down .. earlier we saw a day for a day .. but now it takes few days to move 1 processing day

That is a strange response from them. If they are already processing application received by 1st of August ...... Why would they say they are still processing applications received @ 25th July as of 30th October 2013.

I got my approval email yesterday and waiting for the passport.

I applied my ICT WP paper appln in-person in the embassy NY on 24-Jun.

Guys I got my passport today, with the Work Permit stamped in my passport.... and 1 thing i noticed which was strange .... it doesnt have my photo ...

Can someone confirm if you get photo on the WP in the passport ... i got a W1 type, Worker

i got my passport back today as well. there is no photo on my work permit (W1) either.

my timeline:

applied online via CIC website on June 29.
got visa approval email on October 22.
passport sent to embassy on October 24.
passport received by embassy on October 25.
passport sent to me on November 1.
passport received on November 2.

overall, more than four months...wow!

tech.next315, do you know that these W1 visas in our passports are the temporary resident visas we are supposed to get from the embassy? (are you a US citizen?)
