sounds like it takes a week to get on hand after approval.

Anyone knows what date they are processing now? It was Feb 19th till last Thursday.

3 months and we are still struggling...

I applied for a live in caregiver program work permit in nov 2012. After waiting for 4 months, my application has been denied. The reasons given does not make sense because I send all the documents through mail and some through fax. I don't know whether they did not receive the ones I sent through fax. It really sucks after waiting all this time.

I was thinking of applying student visa, but don't know if I can get it. Or just reapply the work permit.

Does anyone know how it works??

Do you mind letting us know what exactly is the reason they denied your application? Reason I asked is because it will surely help us (LCP applicants) in avoiding same mistakes in the submission of documents. Did you send all original documents?

Hey guys, another update on my side, i got my " letter of introduction PE" for my open work permit this morning (in my CIC account); given that I'm in Canada already can i drive to the border to get my work permit without the passport (which i haven't gotten back) ?

applied for open work permit (spousal sponsorship) : Feb 11th, online
request to send my passport: may 2nd
received the passport: may 13th
letter of introduction received in CIC account: may 21st (even though it's dated May 16th)

All applications are reviewed in the order in which they are received. An exact schedule of completion is not available at this time as our processing time is a minimum of (30) thirty days. Our office is currently finalizing applications received on February 22, 2013

Honorable consulate is closed on upcoming Monday 5/27. Hopefully it will give them some breather from their extremely busy schedule.

Hopefully they will give approval for Feb. 25 applicants on or before May 25 since they have statutory holiday on Monday, May 27. They should update their website that their current TWP processing times is 3 months or more
