Hi, I have a question about work permit application. I applied PR through FSW-outland in March 2020, and the case is still under processing. Currently, I have an opportunity to work as a researcher in one of universities in Canada, and I am still overseas. I was just wondering what steps I should take if I would like to take the position. Should I use the job offer as a reason to request expedite of my PR application, or just apply for work permit? If applying work permit, how can I avoid the intention to immigrate to Canada since I've already submitted PR application? Do you have similar experiences or suggestions?

Thank you very much

Do you have any ideas about the strategy I should use? I have the offer to apply for work permit now, and still want to enter Canada as a PR. What's the best way to request an expedition of PR application stating that my trip to Canada is essential? Thank you

The job offer will not expedite the processing of your PR application.

You should apply for a work permit. There's no issue applying for a work permit with a PR application in progress.

Suppose I am waiting for PR from EE-PNP (no employer), can I apply for work permit for a job from another province?

That's problematic. It will show an intent to settle in a different province. It may put your PR application in jeopardy.
