Hi,
I got a job offer from an international company based on Toronto back in August, I already accepted the offer and signed the contract. The company applied for a non LMIA work permit around mid august and its still processing until today. While the lawyers are claiming to be on top of things, they are saying this delay is out of their control. Is such a significant delay 'normal'? Is there anything at all that I can do about it? could this indicate a coming rejection for my work permit? I'm basically jobless and waiting on that permit now, any advice or tips are greatly appreciated.
Note: average processing time for my country of origin is 9 weeks, I'm currently living in the U.S.
Thanks!
