My application was submitted Nov 2012, It got delayed due to one more police clearance missing. When I got the police clearance on Nov 20, 2012, my Iqama is nearly expire.

I just sent a request letter to embassy to return my passport for Iqama renewal. Great they return it! Last week I got my Iqama, and sent it back to embassy Canada Riyadh via ARamex.

I have recently applied for a temporary work permit through Riyadh embassy. It is for a low skilled worker with a positive LMO. My application was returned the same day at the first attempt, but filled again and they received on the 1st December 2012 and no response yet. I guess no news is a good news. Does any body know about the process and timing involved in this. Cause the website says it could take 12 months, is it for real or for only some cases. I would of course let you all know about my experience once I have some news. Any help or news at this point from anybody to me would be greatly appreciated.

you had mentioned that ur application was returned the same day and you applied again on 1st Dec 2012.
Was ur application refused or rejected in ur first attempt or the Embassy just returned ur package for some missing docs or something??
Did you receive any refusal letter for ur 1st attempt?? What was the reason for the return of documents??

It would be really nice if you could share ur experiences with us.

It was simply returned because I did not fill out the forms from Canadian Saudi website. Did not sent the Supplementary form.Plus they were not filled out electronically. Plus my educational degree and employment letter was not attached. And the funny mistake I did on the band draft, I wrote collector general for Canada, instead of Receiver general for Canada. I did cleared all mistakes and send it back with in a week and a half and Aramex tracking number showed that it has been received by the same person who received the application the first time, and no response from the embassy so far. I do check my e mail and the returned Aramex voucher every day, but so far no news. I don't know whether it's being processed or waiting to be processed. Further more I applied for NOC 7411, which is as you all may know for heavy duty truck driver, having experience of 10 years including 5 years in Canada. Still carry a heavy License from Ontario, which expired on this past September. Mr Rajaryan would you or any body else have an idea how long would my case or usually in these cases take??

sure. I moved to Canada in 2002 from states, spending 10 years there. filled a refugee claim in Canada and lost it. did fight all the way for 6 years establishing my own transportation company in between. My case was accepted on H & C basis, clearly my own business played a big role. Case was accepted in march 2007, and in November 2007 for some family problems i had to leave Canada, abandoning everything that i had over 16 years including my winning case. I did not tell the canadian authorities in Canada or back in my country that I had left the canada. Immigration sent me a letter july 2011 to finalize my case in Canada, but since i was not there they closed my case. Stupid I was. And here I am trying to gain once again what i have lost for nothing.
