HELLO FORUM MATES! DO I NEED TO PAY SOMETHING IN THE AIRPORTS WHILE ON MY WAY TO CANADA? TRAVEL TAX OR SOMETHING?

@ mondmond: no need to pay anything .. just prepare your documents ready for immigration , their may ask you following

1) job offer
2) duties
3) employer name
4) duration of work or stay
5) are you carrying money more than $10k

that's it after that they will issue visa your done ;) ... welcome to Canada 8)

U mean to say that they are requiring us to have at least 10k? Honestly I dont have enough money with me because my sister is an immigrant in canada so she will provide me everything until I get my first salary. So is it ok to tell the officer that I dont have much money with me?

@ mondmond: hey man you take me wrong... no need to prove or show any money as your going for work

secondly don't tell your sister will bear your expenses anything like that to immigration officer

on port of entry the immigration office might ask you the following

1) what is the purpose of your trip (job or tourism)
2) what are your responsibilities / duties of work ( just tell the same written on your LMO)
3) employer name (just tell the same written on your LMO)
4) duration of work or stay (1 or 2 years) (just tell the same written on your LMO)

It depends on where you will be travelling from. The port of Entry does not normally charge any airport related fees (except for Visa Fees).

I mean is it more ok for them to know that I bring lot of money or less?

Any amount above $10,000 should be declared to the Customs at the Port of Entry.

is there any problem with VFS online chat? this past few days it's telling close everytime I try to access it. thank you.

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry.
We are currently experiencing a backlog in processing of temporary foreign worker (TFW) applications.

We are unable to accurately predict at this time how long applications will take to process; however, we estimate 10-12 months for this category.
We trust that this information will be of assistance.
