From November 9, 2013 to October 31, 2014, CIC will accept a maximum of 12,000 new, complete applications under the Canadian Experience Class.

Effective November 9, 2013, CIC will introduce sub-caps of 200 applications each in certain skilled occupations. Also, six particular occupations will no longer be eligible for the CEC.

As of November 9, 2013, work experience in the following National Occupation Classification (NOC) B occupations (listed with the corresponding NOC code) will not be accepted in the CEC:

•Cooks (NOC 6322)
•Food service supervisors (NOC 6311)
•Administrative officers (NOC 1221)
•Administrative assistants (NOC 1241)
•Accounting technicians and bookkeepers (NOC 1311)
•Retail sales supervisors (NOC 6211)
HI...Means they wont accept the new applicants with those 6 NOC...But doesnot mater with the one which has been appliead already...THEY WILL BE PROCRSSED..???coz my NOC is 6311 and i applied on last May 15...Kindly advice

@ haniki, I pay before in Kuwait bank exchange (KBE), but now try in Dollarco, in my time, they not ask my personal account,. Good luck! I'm here in Canada, I received my work permit last September 26, and I land in Canada last October 3, 2013.

@jobersibug., thank you for your response., i tried in KBE but they no longer issue demand drafts and in dollarco they only issue the demand draft for the service charge., by the way how long did you wait for your work permit?

its almost 6 months, Abu dhabi (Canadian Embassy received my papers on February 14, and they approved last August 26, but i recieved an email that my application approved last sept. 16.

Hi Lamak. If you are currently applying for a work permit then it will not affect in anyway.

This is if you want to go the PR route after 1 year of experience in canada. They will no longer consider the above 6 NOCs for CEC.

Hi guys! Any news from april applicants? It takes too long for us, i want to make a 2nd follow up about my applications, coz some of my friends here in bahrain they have news after 7 completed Months, and now i am in 7 months and 4 days, do you think it is advisable if i make a follow up again? Coz last month i ask for my file number and they just reply with the subject of my file number. Thanks for the advice. God bless us all!

Try it bro. Its our rights to follow up our docs. Mine is 8 months

Did u do a follow up dude? Coz it takes a lot of time since we passed our applications and i red here from the other member that theres some cases that embassy sent already an email to an applicant for medical, but the applicant did not recieved anything from them, thats why i just get worried.
