Hi guys, i made my first follow up this morning concerning my application which i submitted thru VFS last 2nd October 2013 and i asked the CEM for my File Number and AOR.

They replied with this subject: W300730369 and below email:

Dear Sir/Madam,

This is in response to your recent email enquiry.

Visa, work permit, and study permit applications are processed by the Canadian Embassy in Abu Dhabi within service standards which can be found on our website, www.uae.gc.ca, at this link: http://www.canadainternational.gc.ca/uae-eau/visas/processing-traitement.aspx

Please note that the volume of applications received and the complexity of individual applications can cause processing times to be longer in some cases. This is often due to circumstances beyond our control. We appreciate your patience and we will contact you once processing has been finalized.

We trust that this information will be of assistance.

nothing on my side. im april 8. i follow up but the reply says 8-10mos coz of backlog.

Did you submit through online or paper application? i submitted my application last october 14 thru online..just received an email from embassy to submit my passport..

Thanks, Yeah i submit it riyad..but i have a problem because my passport will expire on jan. 2015..i just hope it will be ok...soon they contact you.

@ythands maybe u can renew it once u arrived in canada.hope they will contact us as soon as possible its been a long time and sometimes we are loosing our patience on waiting but Still keep praying. thanks!
