work permit and restoration

Hi i would like to seek advice and help regarding my case,,

i am a TFW here in canada, i am under provincial nominee , my work permit expired last nov so i applied for an open work permit last october, a month before the expiration date, unfortunately i got the decision last december 18 that it was refused due to the following reasons;

there should be a valid work permit within 4 months ( i am a little bit confused on this because most of my co worker which is the samecase with me applied it a month before but they were approved with an open work permit.)

i immediately stop working and called my employer and my pnp officer and advised me to apply for restoration of status and another work permit, and informed me that i have a 90 days restoration period,
my questions are, when does the 90 days started? was it from the time that my work permit expired or from the time that i got the refused decision of my work permit application? what will happen to me i wasnt approved on my second apply? what should i do,, pls help me,, thank you and godbless

Hi babylove,

Did you apply for bridging open work permit, and did CIC get your application before the date of your original WP expiry?
And is there no date telling you that when your temporary resident visa/permit ended on the letter?

In our case is bit different, but we applied WP before the original one expired, and got rejected.
There was a date on the rejection letter that stating our TRV expired on the day they made a decision. So it was a different date than original WP expiry date.

Now you need to get LMIA approval to get new WP, or get visitor but you can't work on this option.

Hi, yap we applied a new open work permit before his WP expires but when the decision was made it was expired already, He got A PNP nomination so we dont need to get LMIa,, what we did now was applied for restoration and another WP but by this time we applied a close WP..we are still waiting on the decision of aour application.. We also have our PR Application on cic
