work permit and PR

Hi guys. I have got admission at university of Ottawa in Master of engineering management program which is of 1 year duration program. so, work permit will be issued for 1 year. Would one year be good enough to get a job and later obtain PR status? Thank you

Generally no - you want to take at least a two year program so that you get a 3 year PGWP.

Thanks for the reply scylla. Regarding 3 years of PGWP, University of windsor offers a 2 YEAR full time Masters in engineering management program. Though classes take place only every second weekend(Friday amd Saturday ), it is considered as a full time course as per the university. Does this qualify for 3 years PGWP?
