Hi everyone,
I'm a newbie to this forum. I'm from Australia. I'm currently pursuing Master of International Business (Double-degree option with HEC Paris) at Queen's University. My course lasts 16 month in length. In the first year, I spend the fall term (September - December) in Canada and the Spring term (Feb-June) in France. In my second year, the fall term and internship will be in France.
Am I eligible to apply for work permit upon graduation? How long can it be? Do I stand a chance to apply for CEC if I have had 1 year working experience in Canada?
Any input will be highly appreciated!

u can't combine 2 countries. in order to qualify, u must gain all ur study and work experiences in canada and obtained 3 yrs post graduate work permit upon graduating from a canadian university, work 1 year full time or equivalent in partime to be eligible for cec. u might be eligible after working one year in canada under temporal skilled worker stream but the new rule will take effect in january 2013. bear in mind that if u didn't study full time for 2 yrs and obtained ur diploma/degree from canada, u will not be eligible for pgwp.

You can also become eligible for CEC is you work in Canada in a skilled position for 24 months. If the first option is not feasible for you, look into this route.

As well, if you earn a master's degree in Ontario, you can apply through the PNP program -
