Work permission with minor child schooling visa

Hi,
I want to know. Parents can work in Canada who are going with minor child for schooling visa? Can we have permission for work there legally. Some consultants told me only one parent have permission for work full time and second one can work only 6 hours (during when child is in school). Is this true? We can work or not?

No - the parents cannot work at all.

Both consultants you spoke to are wrong. Only the child who has the study permit is allowed to live in Canada. The parents are not allowed to either live or work in Canada.
