Hey guys, this is a little off topic.... but i was wondering if any of you have added your spouses to your work medical benefits before recieving PR status. Is this even possible? thanks

It depends on the benefits plan and company. I've heard of a few situations where people were able to add their spouse before PR - but in the majority of cases, this usually isn't possible.

I wasn't able to add my husband to my policy until he actually had OHIP coverage (so three months after landing).

Just to add...

Most of the medical benefits work as add ons to provincial health care coverage. That's why they typically demand you have provincial health care before you can take advantage of their benefits.
