As we are going to applying through EE and my query is that my wife is principal applicant and after completion of the whole process and landing in Canada.
Is it necessary to do work for my wife as well? I want to do work by myself is it fine ?

You can sit idle or work. As long as you are not doing anything illegal, you are good.
