Hello guys,

I have question regarding work hour calculation and claiming points as per year. Both of the job are NOC A.

Job 1 = Job duration : 2012 Nov 2 to 2014 July 4 (20 months) Work hour: 35 hours/week
Job 1 was full time job done in India.

Job 2 = 2011 April 1st to 2012 October 3rd (18 months)
Work hour: 28 hours/week ,
Job 2 was done as a part time job while pursuing my undergrad degree in India.

So in total, can I claim points for three years or more?

Calculate number of hours for your second job and convert to months where you should have 30 hours/week. Once you get the number of months then add it to 20 months experience and total will be your experience.

  • full-time at 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
  • equal amount in part-time: 15 hours/week for 24 months = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
  • full-time at more than 1 job: 30 hours/week for 12 months at more than 1 job = 1 year full time (1,560 hours)
