I still can't find the specific request to include work "proof" documents. It asks for work/education history under 6F and in the instructions to gather documents it only asks for the education documents, not work documentation.

Looks like they have not updated the 'Gather Documents' section, But it's clearly mentioned in section 6F of the appl form.

Found it.

So what would record of employment be? All paystubs, T4's? Because you can't always get a letter of employment of previous employers anymore :(

Sorry guys, I still can't find where it asks for employment proof in section 6F. I'm using the Sept 2013 version, CIT 0002 (09-2013) E. I don't see a newer version on the CIC website.

My form reads this way: 6.F Work and education history in the last four (4) years:

"List your work and education history (inside and outside Canada) in the last four (4) years, including the city and country, starting with your most recent. If you were unemployed, retired, homemaker, etc., please indicate under "Work/Education" and indicate the time period.
Do not exclude any period of time during the past four (4) years".

After this it is the table to fill out, and after the table 6 G starts. Nothing else. Am I using a wrong form?

I wrote all the text in section 6 F, except the column headers. There is no more text in 6F. Could you do me a favour and check the document version on your form, please? It is at the bottom left corner of each page. Mine says CIT 0002 (09-2013) E, which matches the one on the website: Application for Canadian citizenship - Adults. I'd include the link but it seems it is not allowed to post links.

When I open the application from the website it says CIT 0002 (02-2014) E http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/citizen/CIT0002E.pdf

Thanks Rigly68. It seems I wasn't using the latest form. Weird, because I checked a few times the website. Oh well, mystery solved. :)

As this new form illustrates applicant must submit work documents and most effective could be CRA documents such as T4/Tax Assessment copies for last 4 years..

For the work history, in the From Date, do I have to write exactly 4 years back from the day the application is dated, even if I have been working for the same firm longer than 4 years? I'm about to renew my PR card and I'm having the same problem figuring out what date to use.

If you are working with same employer for last 4 years.. as example you can write: 02-2011 - Present - Employed - Employer Name:....... Attach last 4 year Tax Assessment copies.

So we have to write exactly 4 years from the date the application is dated, regardless when we started employment with that employer?
Let's say I've been with my current employer since 2008 and I submit my application in April 2014, I would just put one line:
2010-04 - PRESENT - Job Position - Employer Name - City, Country

Correct? Sorry for the extreme hand-holding, but this and CELPIP-General-LS test are the only two things I need before submitting the application. And I also need this for my PR card renewal...

I personally would make the start date the actual month/year you started. That's what I am doing for the same type of situation in my application.
